Well, since I started developing Quizzio at the end of September 2024, I’ve made 2 sales, earning a total revenue of $55.
I wasn’t expecting much in terms of making any sales; it felt like something far away from my reach.
I first made a post on TabNews—a Brazilian developers’ forum—and got my first visitors to my SaaS and the first pieces of feedback. After that, I launched it on Product Hunt, and kaboom, Quizzio was the #5 product of the day! In that period of 20 days, it had 2.5k visitors and 1 sale. That’s not much compared to the number of visitors, but when I saw the Stripe Dashboard showing $27 that I earned from something I created, it was a special moment. I told my family and even took screenshots of it.
Almost two months passed before I made my second sale. During that time, I didn’t invest much effort, except for a few days here and there, but nothing consistent. I was losing hope, not feeling very motivated to work on it. But then, on a random day when I wasn’t expecting anything, I got a Stripe notification: “You received a payment of $28.” I was at school at that moment. I showed my friends that little victory, and my hopes started to grow once again.
Today, I'm learning some ways to marketing and get more clients to my SaaS.
What I’d say to myself—and to you, reading this—is: don’t give up, and stay consistent in what you do. Because when you least expect it, things happen!
Mega congrats! My side project just in the past month got its first handful of paying customers. Truly nothing like seeing that first drop of real user revenue come in. Keep it up, and keep us all posted!
Congratulations" You are absolutely right, do not give up. I do feel the same. I have been into my side project fro a while and every failures add a brick to the success path. Really inspiring well done!
Wow, congratulations on your journey with Quizzio. It’s truly inspiring to see how you’ve turned your efforts into something tangible, especially getting those first sales. I can totally relate to that mix of excitement and motivation when you see the results of your hard work.
Marketing and consistency are definitely key, and it’s great that you’re exploring ways to grow your SaaS further. From my own experience running a sports gaming website, I’ve learned that engaging with your audience and building a community can make a big difference. For example, I’ve been working on apkssports-com to provide users with reviews and updates on popular sports games, which helps keep them coming back.
Stay consistent and keep experimenting and you’re already making amazing progress! Best of luck with Quizzio!
This product looks cool! I think it would work very well with viral marketing on TikTok (filming a use case e.g. "I always spent hours creating quizzes as a teacher until I found this tool"). All the best!
Thank you for sharing your journey with Quizzio! It's inspiring to see how persistence pays off, even in small victories. I completely agree that staying consistent can lead to unexpected successes. Speaking of growth, finding the right resources and materials for projects can make a huge difference. If anyone's looking for vinyl siding suppliers near me, this could be really helpful.
