I want your suggestions on how to scale a webapp horizontally for handling 1 million users on a budget, just don't want to get locked in a particular service

I added a $5/mo digital ocean droplet, and honestly; it worked fine!

    Well done Joshua! Congrats!
If you want to continue a little bit more with that low budget marketing trend, I can put a "shameless plug " here:
I can see this as pretty good use case for my product - Howitzer - the first direct marketing tool for Reddit, made for Entrepreneurs, Startups and Growth Hackers! :)

    Good luck with the project!

I'll check it out, thanks for that :)

Well done. Inspiring lessons, you clearly knew knew who your users were and where they hang out.

Awesome story. I'm really happy for you. I've been trying to figure out how to navigate Reddit. It seems like self-promotion is frowned upon in most subreddits. I'm glad you caught some traction, though!

Thank you so much! Yeah, to echo the other comment, I try and make sure I'm still providing value to the subs I post to!

Actually it is but as far as Joshua concerns he did provide value to the subreddits he was mentioning about.

Check his posts out at Reddit; they're direct, he did not trying to fool anyone etc.

I think key element is being honest and useful. Even if you're trying to sell something being at the right sub and cutting the fluff off increases your chances of getting traction.

We did get a lot of traction from Reddit post at my previous project.
