I got back to smoking 😓

I'm sure a lot of you have the same problem as me, you start working on some project so hard, you think you need to release some stress by smoking.

-22 y/o: Started smoking and stopped doing exercise.

--(March): I got burned-out, back to exercising 6 days a week, stopped smoking
--(August): Started a side-project since July 20th and got back to smoking around pre-launch day (August 14th). I'm one of those devs (I guess we're all the same) that doesn't do anything else than work until a project is done, so "I couldn't find time" for my 1 hour exercise routine.

I should stop making excuses, play less rocket league and take care of my health.

My opinion may be very unpopular: you can smoke until it becomes a habit. If you feel bad without smoking, stop it immediatelly. If you don't feel bad and can live without a cig, I think it's okay (as soon as you don't smoke too much).
I love to smoke sometimes, and I still do exercises.

    I agree on the same.

Many are struggling with this bad habit. I understand you very well. Because I was in your place. I understand that it is difficult to fight against desire. So I started smoking hookah instead of cigarettes. And it helped me. Once a week I ordered a hookah delivery https://fuma.ae . It relaxed me. And now I have completely quit smoking cigarettes.

Well, honestly I do not consider that it is so tough to quit smoking. I have been smoking for the last 4 years, and you know, while I had to stay at home for an entire month during the lockdown, I haven't smoked a single cigarette! It was not that hard for me, not at all. However, since then, I decided to turn my head towards vaping, and I do not regret it at all. I am looking to try the best vape juice uk, from https://greyhaze.co.uk/collections/shop-all-e-liquid , as I really like the flavors actually. This is probably the best side of vaping, the flavors and the lack of that impossible stink!

It is so worse what you made. If you begin to smoke again, I highly suggest to change it with vape, it will be healthier than cigarettes. Vaping is not the same as smoking a water-pipe, or hookah. In a hookah, a burned mixture of tobacco and molasses is drawn through water to cool the smoke. Now on the market are the highest quality vaporizer which is based on herbal material. For more information about vaporizers you can find here https://extremevaporizers.com/snoop-dogg-g-pen-and-micro-g-vaporizer-review.

I definitely recommend Allen Carr's book (I read it 3 times) even though I think it's addressed to heavy smoker. I also use an app called "my quit buddy" which tells you how long have you been without cigs, what are the benefits (1 week, 2 weeks, 1 months etc), the money you saved not smoking and you can also setup some goals etc. It helped me a lot at the beginning.

I ditched real cigs and started vaping cca two years ago. Never had single cig ever since. They disgust me now :D

I'm making my own e-juice and it's nicotine free :)

Vaping is not the same as smoking by any mean except for the "smoke" effect while vaping.

Benefits of vaping over smoking I feel:

    • More energy
    • Sleeping better
    • Reduced intensity of headaches (still have them, always did)
    • I don't stink of tobacco now
    • I saved (saved as in didn't spend it on tobacco) shitload of money
    • I can vape wherever I want
    • I sometimes don't vape for a day without realizing it

    Speaking of cash:
I used to smoke 2 to 3 packs of Dunhill Blue a day (it's ~3.5€ per pack). That's ~3.000€ per year. So yeah, I was a heavy smoker.

Now I vape 4 to 12ml of home made, nicotine free (for those interested, it's 60-40 VG-PG no aroma no nic), e-juice per day. 1l of propylene glycol or vegetable glycerin costs 6-10€ (depending on the store/brand) and will make a 2.000ml of e-juice.

    12ml × 365days = 4.380ml per year. So, yearly I spend around 20€ for e-juice ingredients + 80-100€ for coils per year in total. :D

    Health issues:
When I was smoking, I couldn't use the stairs to get to the 3rd floor without feeling like a buffalo ran over me. Twice.

I've been sick at least 2× yearly (flu, cough, sore throat etc). Now I don't get sick at all :D I have the energy to run, ride a bicycle for 50+km, etc.

I could go on... But you get the idea. Vaping helped me get better in many ways. Some say that I just replaced one bad habit with another. Maybe, but I really do enjoy vaping and don't feel guilty or bad for doing so :)

Hope you ditch cigs as well!

I have tried 2 different vapers, but it’s not the same, maybe it’s bad quality. I will try the one you’re recommending; I wish smoking was not unhealthy hehe

Well, the more PG you add to your mix, the stronger throat hit and less vapor you get from the e-juice. The more VG you add, the sweeter it gets and produces more vapor.

You can play around with mixing your own juice, it's cool. Also, there's large reddit community in case you're interested: r/DIY_eJuice
