I got banned 6 times before I made my first dollar on Reddit

Started posting on Reddit in 2022.

Thought I understood the game.

Post about your product. Answer questions. Be helpful. Easy.

First ban came in 3 days.

I rewrote everything. Tried again. Banned in a week.

Third time I waited longer between posts. Banned.

Fourth time I only commented. Still banned.

I lost 4 months to this cycle. Building karma. Getting nuked. Starting over.

The worst part wasn't the bans.

It was not knowing why.

Reddit doesn't tell you the rules. You just feel them. And by the time you feel them, you're already gone.

I had built 2 SaaS products before this. Both failed. Not because they were bad. Because nobody saw them.

Reddit was supposed to fix that.

Instead it became another failure I was living through in real time.

Then something clicked.

I stopped trying to win Reddit. I started trying to understand it.

I tracked every subreddit I posted in. What worked. What got removed. What got upvoted. What time. What day. What tone.

I built a spreadsheet. Then a script. Then a system.

The system became MediaFast.

It finds subreddits that actually work for your niche. Analyzes what content survives there. Builds you a 30 day roadmap of what to post, where to post, when to post, when to comment, when to rest.

Pacing that keeps you safe. Rhythm that builds trust.

I launched it 8 months ago.

Last month it made $28k.

Not because I hacked Reddit. Because I finally respected it.

MediaFast isn't automation. It's not spam. It's just the system I wish I had when I was getting banned every week.

If you're trying to grow on Reddit and it feels like walking through a minefield, this might help.

Never Knew that anyone can make money on reddit.

Victims of cryptocurrency scams often face overwhelming challenges when trying to recover their lost assets. Losing your cryptocurrency to a scam is more than a financial blow—it’s a deeply emotional experience. Victims often feel shock, anger, embarrassment, and helplessness, especially after realizing that traditional options like law enforcement or legal action offer little clarity due to jurisdictional barriers and the anonymous nature of crypto transactions.

For many, it feels like the money is gone forever. In these moments, hope can feel out of reach. That’s why specialized recovery services like DIGITAL LIGHT SOLUTION (DLS) exist—to stand with victims when others cannot. Using advanced blockchain analysis and deep investigative expertise, they help trace stolen digital assets and guide victims through realistic recovery possibilities.

DIGITAL LIGHT SOLUTION (DLS) is more than a service—it’s a lifeline for people who refuse to give up. For victims of cryptocurrency scams, it represents understanding, persistence, and the chance to take back control after loss. If you’ve experienced a crypto-related loss, contacting a trusted recovery specialist like DIGITAL LIGHT SOLUTION (DLS) could make all the difference.

the shift from "trying to win" to "trying to understand" is huge. most ppl never make it past the frustration phase.

tbh the spreadsheet → script → system evolution is how a lot of good tools get built. the pain becomes the product.

curious about one thing - when tracking what got removed vs upvoted, were there patterns you expected to find that turned out to be wrong? like assumptions that got challenged?

Wow - I am starting this journey - I feel like this tool could be useful. Will check it out. Good luck to you!

I thought they could detect ban evasion. Was that difficult to work around?

I'm basically boycotting R altogether because they banned me with no explanation, even after multiple appeal submissions.

I love Reddit. It’s so simple to go viral on Reddit but not easy, and just one viral post can bring you 1000s of customers.

David gained 81,000 views, 10,000+ upvotes, and $15k+ from a single viral post on Reddit - Link.

It’s not easy because it’s so hard to self-promote products. Often, moderators detect and delete posts or ban users from the subreddit.

The failure happened not as a result of the bans but as a result of the lack of feedback. ~

Reddit does not feel like a platform, it feels like a culture that you violate before you get it. Although it seems like rules you can follow, most advice is just pattern recognition and pacing. After paying the price, you gain useful knowledge.

The most striking thing was the shift from trying to extract value to trying to model the environment. Monitoring the survival, timing and reasoning behind things is very different to simply “being helpful.” That’s closer to what moderators and long-time users actually do.

I’ve observed this as well: once you honour rhythm and context, growth slows but steadies – and suddenly the bans stop without you feeling you’re treading on eggshells.

Did tone or timing end up being more important, I wonder? The same comment in some subs that I’ve seen can live or die purely based on when it appears.

"The phrase slow growth is good growth appears exceptionally true in this case."
