I got early access to Sora 2 — and built a workflow to create viral clips automatically

Hey Indie Hackers 👋

I’ve been playing with Sora 2 in early access, and I built something fun on top of it:
a workflow that inserts Sora-generated micro-scenes directly into auto-edited short clips.

Here’s how the system works:

🎥 1. Upload any long video

Podcast, YouTube, interview, gameplay…
It automatically finds the best highlights.

✨ 2. Generate 2–3 sec Sora scenes

Example prompts I used:
• “cinematic cyberpunk wide shot when explaining a key idea”
• “dynamic office scene to illustrate a marketing concept”
• “motivational slow-motion shot synced with the punchline”

⚡ 3. Auto-merge Sora scenes into your clips

The workflow chooses the right timing to enhance retention.

📈 4. Results

Retention on Shorts increased 300–500% for early testers when Sora scenes were used strategically.

If you want to test this Sora 2 integration, it's already live on:

Hello, my Sora 2–related website is basically finished, but my account can’t complete phone number verification. May I ask how you solved this? It seems that many people are using reverse-engineered iOS protocol interfaces, and I’m curious how you handled it. I hope we could collaborate.

    Hi

I really like what you’re doing with AI video projects! I’m currently looking to collaborate on a tool focused on Sora2, specifically for character trading and script sharing.

I think there’s a great opportunity to combine our efforts and create a platform that benefits creators and users alike. If you’re open to exploring a partnership or discussing ideas, I’d love to connect and brainstorm further.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts!

    Best regards,

      Hello,

Thank you for reaching out and for your kind words about our AI video projects — I really appreciate it.

Your idea around a Sora 2–focused tool for character exchange and script sharing sounds interesting. I agree that there could be strong potential in combining efforts to create something valuable for both creators and users.

Why not — I’d be happy to learn more about your vision, your current progress, and how you see a possible collaboration working.
Feel free to share more details, and we can take it from there.

Looking forward to hearing from you.

      Best regards,

I've created many unique characters and scripts, some quite exaggerated. I'm wondering if there's any similar open-source code? I need users to be able to share or trade characters, since Sora2 can control character usage. We could also create hidden scripts on the backend, leaving the characters empty, so users can select characters and create one-click videos without seeing the script (there are many AI websites that only provide templates for ordinary users). Or should I develop this from scratch? If you think this direction is good, we can develop it together (I've been an independent programmer for many years, but I don't have much project experience; I mainly work on reverse engineering, and I've created some reverse engineering tools similar to Frida). You can visit my YouTube channel; the characters I create are quite exaggerated, I hope you don't mind. I've also posted videos elsewhere, though the YouTube views are low: youtube @sorafind
