I got fed up with 20% commission fees, so I built a 0% alternative. Seeking feedback.

Hi everyone,

Like many of you, I’ve watched the "big" freelance marketplaces slowly turn into gatekeepers. It started to feel wrong: between the 10-20% commissions, "pay-to-play" bid systems, and platforms hiding expert contact info, the "human" element of hiring has been taxed out of existence.

So, I decided to build a "Swiss" alternative: ListAllExperts.com.

The goal is simple: 0% commission. It’s not a marketplace; it’s a transparent directory. We don’t touch the money, we don’t hide emails, and we don't sit in the middle of the relationship. Experts pay a small flat fee to be listed, and they keep 100% of what they earn. I’m currently operating this as a lean, bootstrapped project out of Switzerland.

I’d love the community’s "reality check" on a few things:

  1. The Directory Model: In a world of "escrow safety," do you think clients and experts actually want to talk directly, or have we become too dependent on the "protection" of big platforms?

  2. Pricing: Our basic tier starts at 1.- CHF. Is that too low to be taken seriously, or is a "low barrier to entry" the right move for a new platform trying to build trust?

  3. The Global Hurdle: As a Swiss company, our currency is CHF. Does seeing a non-USD currency turn you off immediately, or does the "Swiss Quality" label add a layer of trust for you?

I’m not looking to "growth hack" here -I genuinely want to know if I'm building something that solves a problem you all actually face.

Looking forward to your honest (and even brutal) feedback!

Best, Joerg
