I got my first 1,000 visitors per month
I've written about how I started and sold a Puzzle subscription company for $20,000 during Covid-19 solely using Organic traffic as the revenue driver.
This time I embark on a journey to build a company making $10,000 per month in profit. We'll get to the actual plan later.
I gave myself a little bit of a headstart so I actually had something to tell you.
Facebook page: 2,970 likes
30-day visitors: 1,089

Pick the perfect niche. You need engagement to win a content play. So when you are trying to choose a niche - think about people. What do you engage with? Things that hit the core of who you are as a person.
I've always gone with something people have as a core value or hobby.
This time I'm going with something people feel so deeply that they will describe themselves that way. It's probably in their social media bio.
It could be Hunter, Christian, Runner, or Angler.
Let's speedrun getting up a running, so we can move on to more exciting things.
Getting a domain. There is an easy way and a hard way. The hard way is spending hours thinking about the perfect name. Checking Godaddy - unavailable. Go back to thinking. Continue loop for days.
The easy way. Go to Godaddy auctions for expired domains and find a domain in your niche. Check the Domain Authority and backlinks. Looks good? Buy it.
You won't have to spend brainpower finding the perfect name and you'll have some initial SEO juice from links and DA.
Setting up a website. Easy. WordPress with a fast-loading theme. There are thousands of videoes on how to do it and even more people ready to help on UpWork.
Getting the initial content started is also EASY! Go to HREF and start a free trial. Select some very wide keywords related to your niche and select all keywords. Download the list into an excel sheet then rank based on difficulty. Start with below 5 difficulty and 100 - 500 monthly searches.
Go to Jasper.ai and use their tool to write 10 - 20 of 2,000 words blog posts to get started. It will help you SEO optimize the content. Want a Free option? Go to ChatGPT. Just be aware that content takes +3 months to rank, so don't expect something to fly out the gate.
Enable Google Analytics, Search Console, Adsense - Youtube it. It's not hard.
Okay. We got a platform.
Next up. We don't. EVER. want to rely on a single source of traffic. We will build up Organic Search with Jasper.ai over time.
But. We need that instant dopamine hit.
Facebook... I created a page. Found some big competitors +1M likes on their page. I scrolled through their top engaged posts. No fancy tool. Just good old scrolling Facebook. Meta. Or whatever.
From those high-engagement posts, I make similar posts. It sucks, so do like 2 weeks in a row. Schedule them.
Now. We need some followers. Create a like campaign on Facebook. I'll share examples in the newsletter below. It's pretty easy. Just tell people what you do and what you want them to do.
An example: "We LOVE a good hunting story. Almost as much as hunting ourselves. We have gathered the best hunting stories. Like our page, if you love hunting."
Simple as that.
You should try different copies and different images. A new like on your page should cost you $0.05 - otherwise, try again.
You'll start getting some likes and engagement on your posts. Asking users to Share the post creates the post reach at this point in time.
Once you get closer to 50,000 likes on your page it will start to spread organically and grow faster without spending additional money.
DON'T post links to your website yet. We'll do that when the page is much bigger. Just create content that people engage with. That's what Facebook loves to see.
This is sort of where I am right now.
What's next? We need to get 100,000-page likes on Facebook - then we'll start to capture emails and build an email newsletter. At the same time, we will keep posting great content to our website.
Adsense won't build me a $10,000 profit website, so we'll need to figure out a product at some point. We'll get to that at a later point.
