Hey 👋
I've been building inkfluenceai.com, a tool that lets you turn ideas into ebooks and PDFs in minutes.
Yesterday, something small but meaningful happened: a complete stranger signed up and used it.
It’s funny, I wasn’t expecting it to feel like such a big deal, but it did!
Here’s what I changed this week that (I think) pushed that first real user over the line:
People don’t want to read about a product, they want to test it in seconds.
This single change massively increased homepage engagement.
I stopped trying to be clever and just said exactly what it does:
“Turn ideas into ebooks in minutes.”
Traffic didn’t change, but retention did.
Not huge posts just building-in-public updates. This brought me some early curiosity traffic.
Nothing impressive yet, but I’m seeing the first small signals.
Right now, I’m trying to figure out what to improve next:
Better onboarding?
More examples/templates?
More use cases pages?
Something else entirely?
If anyone here has experience getting early-stage SaaS engagement, I’d love to hear your advice.
I’m happy to share what’s working/not working on my end as I keep building.
Cheers,
