I got some attention for building in public!

I've been documenting my progress on Twitter lately.
It's mostly for myself and it looks like this:

Posting a tweet with a video is my personal way of celebrating the baby steps. Sometimes it's to remember a silly looking bug I thought was funny.

Most of the time I get little to no attention. Every now and then I have a friend like my tweets which is nice. I even received a like and a follow from the creator of the Bodymovin, the plugin that exports Lottie data from After Effects.

Keeping with my ritual I posted an update the other day.

This one caught the attention of the people at LottieFiles, and I woke up to 11 notifications on Twitter.

Eleven notifications is a lot coming from my Twitter account. It was such a nice start to my day so I had to send my gratitude to everyone who had shown support over the last few weeks.

Just doing that awarded me with a bunch more love, retweets and even an invitation to apply for a job doing this kind of work.

So many good feels!

I'm going to keep posting for the same reason I did—it's a nice habit and I'm sure I'll enjoy looking back at the progress. But I re-learned that by sharing your progress and expressing gratitude when you get attention can bring "luck" your way.
