I got tired of copy-pasting blog posts, so I built a tool to syndicate WordPress → Medium with canonical links

For the past few months, I’ve been running a small portfolio of micro-apps. One recurring pain kept coming back when distributing SEO content:

Every time I published a post on WordPress, I still had to manually:

  1. Reformat it for Medium

  2. Re-upload images

  3. Re-add links

  4. Worry about duplicate SEO issues

It felt ridiculous in 2025.

So I built PublishRelay.com a lightweight WordPress plugin + Chrome extension that automatically syncs your WordPress posts to Medium with proper canonical links so your original site keeps all the SEO credit.

What it does today

  • Auto-detects new WordPress posts

  • Syncs them to Medium in seconds

  • Automatically sets canonical URLs

  • Preserves formatting and images

No copy-paste, no SEO penalties

It’s built mainly for:

Indie founders

Content-driven SaaS

Solo creators

Programmatic SEO builders

Why I built it:

Most distribution tools are either:

Too heavy

Too agency-focused

Or break SEO in subtle ways

I wanted something that does exactly one job well:

Make cross-posting invisible and SEO-safe.

Current traction

Still early, but:

First real users are live

Being used for SEO test sites + creator blogs

Feedback so far is pushing us toward deeper analytics + scheduling

What I’m looking for

If you:

Run a WordPress blog

Post on Medium

Care about SEO or distribution

Or hate repetitive workflows

I’d love:

Critical feedback

Feature requests

Or edge cases you’ve hit with syndication

I’m not trying to build another “content platform.” This is a SEO content distribution tool for people who care about leverage.

Happy to share access if you want to test it.
