I got tired of every project tracker being built for teams. So I built my own.

For years I managed my freelance projects in Google Docs, then Notion. Then tried every dedicated app I could find.

They all had the same problem: bloated with team features I'd never use, or requiring hours of setup.

I'm a solo freelancer. I don't need team dashboards. I just need to see my active projects, track time when I need to, know what I'm owed, and get back to work.

So I built Tomoro — a minimal, offline-first project tracker for freelancers.

What it does:

  • Multiple simultaneous timers

  • Different billing rates - per hour, per day, fixed, per item

  • Link button to project's folder

  • Multiple notes per project

  • Solo mode — expanded view of one project while everything else is hidden.

  • Earnings auto counter

  • No cloud, no subscription, no team features

  • Backup and CSV export

  • Search

Works on Mac and Windows desktops

Free 14-day trial. One-time purchase — no subscription.

Would love feedback from fellow indie makers — especially if you're a freelancer. What do you track? How do you manage your projects today?
