I got tired of Googling "free invoice generator" and landing on trash. So I built DocForge.

Honest story this started selfish.

I was doing some freelance work on the side and needed to send a GST invoice. Opened Google, clicked the first result. Site had a watermark. Clicked the second. Needed signup. Third one looked like it was built in 2009 and hadn't been touched since.

I just wanted a clean invoice. No account. No watermark. No "upgrade to remove branding." Just... a document.

So I built it myself.

DocForge is a free business document generator invoices, GST invoices, quotations, contracts, NDAs, purchase orders. No login. No watermark. Your data never even leaves your browser.

The product is live. It's getting impressions. But zero paying users yet which is the honest part I wanted to share here, because IH is the one place where that's okay to say out loud.

I've built out profession pages, regional tax compliance pages. The idea is that someone in the UAE searching for a VAT invoice generator finds DocForge before they find something worse.

I don't know if this becomes a business. But I know every freelancer who avoids a sketchy site and gets a clean PDF in 30 seconds that's a small win worth shipping for.

If you've ever needed a business document and hated every option that came up that's who I built this for.

Would love any feedback. Especially on monetization how do you charge for something people expect to be free?
