I got tired of paying for AI voice APIs, so I built a fully local Windows app from scratch.

Hey Indie Hackers,

I wanted to share a project I just launched today called Voxera.

The Problem: Like many of you, I was using AI voice tools for content creation, but I hated the SaaS subscription model. Paying $20/month for strict character limits and API restrictions was driving me crazy. I wanted a tool I could just own.

The Build: I decided to build a fully local, offline Windows app. I packaged state-of-the-art neural networks (us runtime) directly ing ONNXinto an Electron/React desktop app. It was a massive technical challenge figuring out how to bundle 1.5GB of local AI models into a clean Windows .exe installer so it works offline out of the box.

The Launch: I decided to skip the subscription route entirely and sell it as a one-time lifetime license on Gumroad. I launched on Product Hunt yesterday (which was a huge learning experience about algorithms and having zero initial audience!).
