I got tired of wasting hours making blogpost images, so I automated it with an API

As a developer and solo founder, I love the building part, but I absolutely hate the final step of shipping: creating the visual assets.

Every time I finished a blog post, a project, social post, or a video, I’d spend way too much time opening design tools, tweaking templates, and manually changing text just to get a decent thumbnail or Open Graph image. It’s a massive bottleneck when you just want to ship fast.

So, I decided to fix my own problem and built ThumbAPI.

It does exactly what it says: you send a title via a single API call, and it spits back a beautifully styled, high-converting social visual. No manual design work, no template fighting.
There is a also web app where you can manualy without using API create your visuals.

I’m just setting up the product page here on IH. If you’ve ever felt the pain of spending more time on the thumbnail/visuals than the actual content, I’d love to get your feedback on this!

What's your current workflow for generating OG images and visuals?
