I have a new project. How to get good backlinks for SEO purposes?

Recently I started my first project and SEO-optimized some key pages on it.
Now I'm trying to figure out what is the fastest and best way to get good backlinks for it?
p.s. I'm planning to do guest blogging to get links to my website on other websites, but it will be a long-term process, so here I'm asking about my simple ways to get it.

Was just about to post this. I tried it for a week, but I got to say, this sucks.
First, you'll spend a lot of time doing work that doesn't add any value to the world.
And second, you'll discover how corrupt the "getting backlinks" world is. Some people will downright ask you for money to link to you. Big brands like hotel chains pay journalists to include links to their websites. And CEOs and Founders pay content writers to "write and pitch a few articles" for them so it can boost their domain rating by a few points, and they can say they've been "Featured in FastCompany". This is all low quality nonsense, a game of backlinks, appearances and favours.
Same with HARO. You contribute to an article and in exchange get a low value link, maybe.
Still, if you don't mind doing all that, I read that you can get good results. But Google hires some of the smartest minds in the world to work full time on this. I don't think this game will last long.
