I have all kinds of drive but no problems. Please help.

I'm a software engineer, I love building things, and it's still a big aspiration of mine to launch a product.

I have no problem building 'toys' (small ideas that I wanted to see if I could pull off, or something just for fun) but have a HUGE issue finding problems that I find annoying enough to solve, even on a personal level.

I try to keep a journal of problems (not being able to find a problem is at the top of the list) but nothing seems to bite. They always go along the lines of:

• Problem: unloading the dishwasher is annoying
• Solution A: build a robotic butler that can unload the dishwasher for you
• Solution B: just unload the dishwasher while the coffee is brewing in the morning. It's unused time and a lot easier than building a robotic butler.

... and that's where it'll stop. I feel it's too easy to become a 'man with a hammer and force solutions onto something that doesn't need it.

Can anyone speak to this at all and how you overcame it? Any tips or tricks would be greatly appreciated!
