I have collected potential clients' feedback, what should I do next?

Hi there! My name is Serhii, recently I finished with uxboard.io MVP, its collection of real-world UI/UX examples.

I imagine it as an everyday tool for designers, developers, product owners, and all other folks building websites regularly.

After the soft launch and initial content upload (by the way, we have 200+ elements at the moment) I have asked several random creators what they think about my product, there is some feedback:

It surely is a great resource and can be helpful. I work with a lot of designers (senior and mid), and always instruct them to look at multiple ways of how different websites handle similar sections, before they finalise a layout..this is where UX Board could help a lot, and I feel the selection of sections is also quite adequate. Yes, it can become a tool that's used daily once the examples per section are increased

Hi there!
Yes this would be suuuuper helpful! Currently I use sites like dribble, but getting specific section examples would save lots of time, since sometimes I’m looking for specific sections.

Hi! ✨Maybe the biggest inconvenience would be not finding exactly what I am looking for. Even when I do, I sometimes spend a lot of time searching and some of the findings are not free to access.
Maybe a resource like UX board would be useful, I hadn’t got time to fully form an opinion since it’s the first time I’m hearing about it but it seems nice & useful 😁

As you see the feedback seems positive and we are on the right way, but what should be the next steps to promote the resource? How I see it:

  1. Collect more items on the uxboard.io
  2. Develop new features (we have a roadmap, you can follow product updates on indiehackers)

It would be nice if you will share your thoughts about our product (can it become an everyday tool? what features are missed?) and how do you think we can promote it? Thanks!

Hey again, I just found myself using your website today. It was helpful :) Would love to see more content and especially more categories.

      Hi, @talham7391

      I'm glad to hear it!

Could you describe your experience in more detail, please

      • What was the reason which made you visit uxboard.io?
      • Did you remember the name or did you return to the article to find it?
      • Was it easy to find what you were looking for? Actually, we released a new search feature, you can try it as one of the first

We will work on adding more content and categories definitely, thanks for the feedback! 🚀

I think dribbble already does similar right? If I search for something specific on dribbble I'll receive a bunch of designs for what I searched for. (e.g. I just searched for "pricing" and I got results for a bunch of pricing components, same as your site).

To set yourself apart from dribble even more, what if you offered downloads of the designs in different formats?

    • As HTML/CSS/Javascript
    • As React/Vue/etc.. Component

It will definitely slow down how many designs you can add to your website but it will help to target a crowd different than one dribble targets.

Also, I wasn't able to find your roadmap so I don't know what other features you have in the works. But I think finding the right features to build would be the next step. And doing some customer research to find what the most impactful features will be.

      Hi, @talham7391

      Thanks for your comment!

Yes, you are right, dribbble has search functionality, here is an example

      Example

the main point here is that they are only designs, often torn off from the real product behind or even impossible to implement for desktop / mobile versions. Our collection is real-world examples with desktop and mobile versions that work on real products (sell, attract attention, inform, e.t.c)

I don't say that you should not use dribbble, you can use both.

The idea of providing HTML/CSS/JS code is great, thanks! Now we are working on providing Figma designs on the element pages.

doing some customer research to find what the most impactful features will be

How do you think we can implement this? With focus-group or on forums or what is the mechanic of this? I'm not a big expert in these questions ;(

      Thanks a lot!

You need to do some thinking about who your ideal customer is and how you can reach them.

When you try to reach them, you’ll learn something new, and you can use what you learned and repeat the process.

One thing you can try is create blog posts evaluating different types of designs. This will generate some leads back to your website.

Have people signup to unlock a bigger part of your website so that you can capture their email and usage patterns.

Then, email the people that are using your website to see if they’d be interested in providing intimate feedback about your product. In return, you may end up implementing a feature they desperately need.

        Goodluck!!

@talham7391 it's smart, we will try, thanks!

Asking questions from potential customers can be a tricky thing.

      Hi, @rohukas

      Thanks for sharing!

Did you use these tips during building Featurebase and how did they improve your product?

p.s. actually your website looks great didn't mind if I add it to the uxboard? Thanks
