I have more than 500 members but no subscription buyers!

Greetings dear indiehackers,

I have a product called ytbe.one, in short, it enables to increase interactions easily by opening YouTube links directly in the mobile application, it gets amazingly good interaction, it has an average of 5 thousand monthly users and more than 500 registered members.

About 2 months ago I converted ytbe.one to micro saas and released v1.2 but no one upgrades their free plan to paid, not a single subscription has been sold. What am I doing wrong, is it expensive, or is there a problem with the features? I request you to review the pricing page of ytbe.one and give me feedback.

Website: https://ytbe.one
Pricing page: https://ytbe.one/pricing

Thank you very much everyone.

Farther up the funnel perspective - it took me a while to figure out what the value of the service was. I even tested it out (on desktop), pasted the generated link into my browser, went to the YT video and still had no idea what difference the url made. It wasn't until I went through the FAQ that I saw it. And even in the FAQ, you explain the pain it solves before explaining what the service does, per se.

"Tired of your YT videos opening in 3rd party apps? Force the link to open in the YouTube app - a superior experience for you and the user." (actually a really cool value prop)

I also don't understand when I'd ever been to pay, as it looks like I could just use the homepage input box at the top every time I need this service, without ever creating an account.

    Hope this helps!

I concur with Nate here. It's very hard to figure out the value proposition of the product at a glance from the homepage.

Hey! I don't know if you are working on that but I just warn you that all your 'Buy Now' button redirects to a 404

    Good luck!

Now I see, I don't understand why this happened, I guess it is related to the payment system. I'm fixing now.

    2. 1

When you say buy now, it goes to the registration page and when you register, it goes to the payment page. I don't see any problem. How did you get a 404?

      1. 1

I just saw you made fews changes, but even now when I click on 'Upgrade plan' I got a red message with 'There is a problem'.

In fact when you signup on your website by clicking on 'Start now' on the pricing page it works well. But when you are already logged in and click on 'Upgrade plan' it doesn't work.

I sent you details and screenshot by email

Thanks a lot for the feedback, I understand the source of the problem, I will fix it as soon as possible. 💯

I'd make the messaging on your site a lot clearer. I'd also target a specific customer segment that would actually use this service often. Become the Go-To site for them. Is there a specific type of user that uses the site more than the others?

    1. 1

People who produce YouTube regular content are the ones who use it the most.

        HEADLINE:

"Is Your YouTube Channel Not Growing Fast Enough? You Might Be Using The Wrong Links"

        SUB-HEADER PARAGRAPH:

'You don't get credit for views, likes, or comments if your audience doesn't watch your videos directly on YT. So even though your video could be getting tons of engagement, you will never know. That's why we created YTBE. YTBE generates a unique link that ensures your audience redirects straight to the YT app, every time. Get your first link for free and see your engagement skyrocket!'

You might want to play with the wording a little but definitely put the explanation front and center. Youtubers want more engagement and more subscribers, make sure it's super clear that that is the reason to use your site.

If they see a statistically significant difference in their engagement level after using your site, then they will certainly pay $5/mo or more.

LMK if that's helpful at all!

P.S. perhaps think about charging per link generation instead of a sub model

I'll look into that, thank you very much.

It doesn't really seem like there's THAT much incentive for users to get the subscription, there should be a wow factor that makes the user feel like they're missing out, and analytics is not enough.

    1. 1

Any suggestions on what I should do for this?

Out of the 500 members, what is the average number of video links they use per account? The free limit of 100 links seems way too high. May be cut down that to much lower number?

    1. 3

Some used all, some used 3-5. Yes, it is necessary to make an arrangement about the numbers, I am thinking of reducing the free plan to 50 links and rearranging the other plans accordingly.

      1. 2

Nice. Keep us posted if that improves conversion.

Yeah I came to ask the same thing, are people maxing out the free tier, because if not there's no incentive to upgrade.

Looks like you've changed it to 10 now, which hopefully puts a % of your users over the limit. Some may leave, some may pay. If they all leave rather than pay a few bucks, maybe reassess the value prop.

Let's test a little more like this, and I'm thinking of the people who create links without logging in after a few times; To make a popup like would you consider becoming a member. In this way, I think that approximate users can become members and then switch to paid plans.
