Hey fellow hackers!
So the last few months I've been writing a lot of blog posts and I had an idea to automate some of the mundane tasks that I've been doing. For example — creating proper cover images for your blog posts. I didn't need anything fancy, but more informative OG images.
And this is how https://covertool.io was born yesterday.
It's a utility SaaS to generate social covers. Built for developers to be a drop-in replacement to any blogging platform.
I've used Tailwind to build the whole UI and looka to create the Logo, Stripe for Payments, Postmark for Emails, Auth0 for Authentication, Django for code, Docker for virtualization. There's no React or Angular, just plain HTML with some Alpine.js.
What do you think about the landing page? Does it appeal to indie developers?
It took a while before I understood that it was about the images that is getting shared in social media. I thought that is was about in article images like the stock photos that you can include in Medium articles at first. Was probably only me being stupid :)
Thanks for mentioning that! Probably need to work on the wording
