I got tired of looking up the same word for the 5th time and still forgetting it. So I built Vocab Top — a translation app that doesn't just tell you what a word means, it helps your brain hold onto it.

Really cool approach. As someone who works across Japanese and English daily, the "look up, forget, repeat" cycle is painfully real. The micro-learning angle with visual associations is smart — context sticks way better than raw definitions. One feature idea: would be great to have a "review queue" that surfaces words right before you're about to forget them (spaced repetition style). Framer Motion for the swipe UI is a nice touch too. The swipe-based UI is interesting, I went with a similar pattern for a recipe app and it completely changed how people interacted with content vs a regular scroll feed. Retention went up like 40% just from the UX shift. Curious about the AI image generation though, how fast is the turnaround per word? That could make or break the flow if someone is looking up words mid-conversation.
