Yesterday, I built PodKoi (podkoi.com): a site that connects podcast hosts with people who want to be on podcasts
This was made as part of a challenge I did today called the Startup Speedrun.
Essentially, the idea was to build a new project from start to finish as fast as possible. The finish line is reached once the project has been posted on ProductHunt 🚀
In total, this took about six hours to build.
I came up with this idea after trying to find something like this myself. I love the format of podcasts, and think that being interviewed on one is a fantastic way to get your name out there.

This was built using the Elementor + the MyListing theme for Wordpress.

Quick question, do podcasters use transcribers or do they just use AI-powered apps?
Human transcribers? I think there's a good mix of both. Due to the higher cost though, it's usually bigger budget podcasts that go with the human transcription so it's better quality.
There's also PodReacher which transcribes and then creates a "high-quality blog post" from your episode so you can repurpose the content. I think offering that type of service is how you differentiate and stand out.
Yes I know podreacher, I attended their webinar last week, it's more than transcription since they optimize it for SEO.

Are you getting the podcast hosts to sign up on the platform beforehand? Or is it just sourcing their email? How do you plan to limit spam?

I launched the site empty and luckily a few hosts have already signed up! You can either do so with email, Facebook, or Google logins.
If spam becomes a problem, the down-the-line, I'll make it so that posts have to be verified.

Hosts register their podcast themselves like most other marketplace sites. Haven’t thought out far enough to consider database issues yet.
