I just publicly committed to a launch date for my SaaS and it's kinda terrifying
I know lots of people are building in public and launching a product in 30 days.
I just posted on Twitter (to my pretty small following and a couple of hashtags) that I'll be launching 21 days from tomorrow! 😅
I'll be building in public and sharing what I learn. Hopefully, people will find what I share useful.
Honestly, my 21-day goal might be too ambitious, but I need to commit to a date and get focused. I've got a launch plan that seems doable.
And while I'm feeling anxious, maybe that's exactly what I need right now? Worst case scenario I fail and learn a bunch.
I've been exploring this space and validating the pain points for a few weeks. While I don't have presales, I do have some folks who have proactively reached out to me, interested in getting access.
I think it's worth an investment of three weeks to see if I can get something put together that solves a common problem. If not, I'll get more practice at writing and sharing, and hopefully meet some awesome folks along the way.

I did this very thing when I launched my last project, well and I applied to an accelerator so had to have my project live for that but the power of a deadline, especially a public deadline is for real. Just remember, you're never really done, so don't be disappointed if things aren't as good as they could be when you launch, they never are.
