I just told my customer that I'll look into his problem if he buys my product
I made a package that helps developers build apps very fast. It has both free and paid plans.
Today I had a call with one of my users and he said he needs a feature to be built into my package.
I told him that it's not on the near-future roadmap but if he purchases the paid version I'll look into it and hopefully have something in a few weeks.
Was that a bad thing? Do you think I overreached?
As an indie founder, I don't think this as a bad thing. Even I came across the same scenario few months back and fortunately the customer is converted to paid customer and his subscription is still active.
Technically, its ok to ask this because we have other plans in our roadmap after done with more research and suddenly if new things pop up then we need to prioritize either of it. Your question, help on finalizing what to pick next!
