I just wanted to find a job that fits my CV. That turned into Jobmento

Hi,
I’m a senior software engineer, and a few months ago I ran into a problem I’m sure many of you know very well.

I had a solid CV, solid experience — but job searching still felt… random.

Same CV.
Hundreds of job listings.
Endless applications.
Very little signal.

So instead of blindly applying, I asked myself a simple question:
“What if I could see how well a job actually fits my CV before applying?”
That question turned into Jobmento.

What Jobmento does
Analyzes your CV using AI
-Collects job listings from multiple sources
-Scores each job specifically for you
-Explains why a job is a good (or bad) match
-Helps you focus on quality applications instead of volume
The goal isn’t to apply more —
it’s to apply smarter.

Behind the scenes (for the technical folks)
-.NET-based backend
-Embeddings + cosine similarity
-Hybrid scoring (rule-based + LLM-assisted)
-Deduplication, caching, expiration — all the fun real-world problems
-Built entirely as a solo developer

Current status
-Core matching & scoring system is working
-Early-stage product, still evolving
-No marketing budget, no audience yet
-Biggest challenge right now: distribution

I’d love your feedback
-Does this solve a real pain for you?
-What would you expect from a tool like this?
-If you were me, how would you get the first 50–100 users?

Any feedback, criticism, or hard truths are more than welcome.
Thanks for reading
