Every year I’d end up forfeiting FSA money — not because I didn’t spend it, but because reimbursements were a pain.
Most of my eligible purchases were on Amazon. Submitting claims meant:
digging through order history
figuring out which items actually qualified
generating the right receipts
dealing with different rules from providers like Navia or Fidelity
It was annoying enough that I’d procrastinate, miss deadlines, and just lose the money.
So I built FSA Helper, a Chrome extension that scans Amazon orders, identifies FSA/HSA-eligible items, and helps generate reimbursement info in minutes — even if you paid with a regular credit card.
This started as a personal tool. I cleaned it up and launched it publicly a few weeks ago, and it now makes about $20/month.
