I launched a URL shortener with ability to redirect users based on rules

Redrt.me is a simple to user URL shortener made with powerful features for a marketer. You can quickly shorten a url, but the kicker is that you can control the destination url based on rules you setup and get stats on everything.

Rules can be setup based on the user's device type, location, browser and more. You can also split traffic between a, b, c sites; it's good for testing purposes.

Why I built this?

  • URL shortening is simple, other companies charge way too much
  • I wanted to know stats on all my clicks
  • I didn't want to be limited by #of links I can make
  • I wanted to organize by urls into folders ex: fb marketing, twitter posts
  • I wanted to edit quickly which url the user went to based on their geo location, which went on to support browsers, devices etc
  • I wanted to pass UTM tags
  • I wanted the service to be fast and can handle large # of parallel request. Redrt can handle 1.5m concurrent requests.

Thanks everyone!
