I launched IdeaPz 14 days ago. I think it’s time to pivot.

I’m not abandoning IdeaPz, I’m pivoting it.

I recently launched IdeaPz: a simple tool where people can submit an idea and others can vote on whether they’d be willing to pay for it.

The idea got some good feedback: 400+ visitors, 30+ ideas and 50+ votes. But almost no one left their email.

So instead of focusing on collecting emails, I’m going to focus on two signals:

Would you pay for this idea? And how much would you pay per month?

The project is still very early, and I have no idea where it will go, but I think this could be a more useful signal for founders.

Would love to hear your thoughts.

The pivot makes sense if the new signal predicts behavior better than email capture. Have you considered tracking whether people who say they’d pay actually take a stronger next step—waitlist, request access, or payment—rather than treating the stated price as the endpoint?

Yes, unfortunately, people voted saying they were willing to pay, but they never left their email to be notified when the project launched.
And no, pricing isn’t the end goal. It’s simply a new point I added because I think it’s a logical next step: first, “Would you pay for this?” and then, “How much would you be willing to pay?”

That gap between stated willingness to pay and actually leaving an email is pretty telling. I’d be interested in digging into what you learn from the new signal. If you’re open to it, what’s the best email to reach you on?

Sure, you can contact me at developpersolo@gmail.com. I’d be happy to hear your thoughts and see what you have in mind.

Thanks! I’ve just sent it over.

Looking forward to hearing your thoughts whenever you have a chance.
