I launched PDFFormSlate, a browser-based tool for turning PDFs into fillable forms

I launched PDFFormSlate, a browser-based tool for turning existing PDFs into fillable forms.

The reason I built it is straightforward: many PDF tools require users to upload files to their servers. PDFFormSlate works directly in the browser, processes files on the frontend, and does not require an account or login.

PDFFormSlate is designed to be much simpler. You upload an existing PDF, place the fields you need, and export a fillable PDF. It currently supports text fields, textareas, dropdowns, checkboxes, signatures, and images.

I built it for people who need a practical way to prepare forms quickly, especially for internal documents, onboarding paperwork, agreements, application forms, and other operational workflows.

The product is now live, and I’d like honest feedback on both the product and the positioning: https://www.pdfformslate.com

This is solid especially the “no upload / stays in browser” part, that’s a strong trust angle. One small thing on positioning:
right now it feels a bit descriptive instead of outcome-driven.Instead of focusing on what it does, you could lean more into speed + ease, like:
“Turn any PDF into a fillable form in minutes no upload, no login”Same product, but it immediately feels faster and safer.
Are most users coming for privacy reasons, or speed/convenience?

On distribution: the "browser-only, no upload" feature is also a purchasing trigger for specific industries where uploading to third-party servers is either restricted or politically difficult — legal, healthcare, insurance, HR at larger companies.

Those buyers don't need to be convinced. They're already searching for exactly this. The question is whether your positioning language matches what they're typing into Google ("PDF form creator no upload", "browser only PDF forms HIPAA", "offline PDF form builder").

Targeting one of those industries specifically — even just in the copy — would probably improve conversion from organic search a lot more than a general "simple and fast" pitch would.

What's the main use case you're seeing from your current users?

Nice work! the browser-native, no-upload privacy angle is underrated. I took the same approach with TransitLens (browser-based GTFS transit data explorer - your data never leaves your machine). Curious: how are you handling the positioning around privacy? I've found 'it stays in your browser' resonates strongly with transit agencies who are cautious about data leaving their network.

I like the clean styled ui. Congrate for your launch ! Do you think it could benefit of the integration of other type of forms like google form for instance ?
