I launched Shortreels - an AI voice generator for creators who don’t want to record themselves

Hey Indie Hackers 👋

I just launched a tool I’ve been working on for the past few weeks called Shortreels – it helps creators quickly generate AI voiceovers for content like YouTube Shorts, Instagram Reels, and TikToks, without needing a mic or recording setup.

💡 Why I built it:

I noticed a lot of solo creators and faceless channels want to make videos but struggle with:

• Not liking their own voice

• No access to quality audio gear

• Time-consuming editing

So I built something simple:
👉 Just type a script → choose a voice → download the audio
It works instantly, and sounds surprisingly human.

⚙️ Tech Stack:

• Frontend: HTML + JS

• Backend: Firebase

• Voice generation: AWS Polly (exploring ElevenLabs too)
