I launched Simple forma everywhere - here’s what worked (and what didn’t)

I launched Simpleformapp.com last week , a lightweight form builder and lead manager for small businesses and freelancers.

Like many indie makers, I wanted to see where early traction would come from, so I posted it everywhere I could.

Here’s exactly where I launched:

Product Hunt

Indie Hackers

Reddit (r/startups, r/sideproject, r/entrepreneur)

Hacker News (Show HN)

AlternativeTo

SideProjectors

Startup Stash

Pitchwall

Uneed

TinyLaunch

Startups.fyi

StartupBuffer

Traffic Breakdown:
Where did most of my visitors come from?

Indie Hackers

Direct selling (WhatsApp, sharing with friends, community groups)

Reddit

Product Hunt (but very little traffic)

Other directories (helpful for SEO, not immediate traffic)

Numbers after 7 Days:
→ 120 unique visitors
→ 7 signed up
→ 3 created forms
→ 1 shared their form publicly and started getting responses

My Key Takeaways:
Indie Hackers is gold, people here actually check out indie projects and give feedback.

Direct selling / DMing early users is underrated.

Directories are useful but slow, they help more with SEO than instant traffic.

Reddit is hit or miss, only post where it’s relevant.

What’s Next for Me:
→ Improve my landing page messaging
→ Keep building in public

Hope this helps someone launching soon!

Happy to answer any questions.
