The Why

Like many of you, I was blown away by the potential of AI video generation. However, I found existing tools were often too expensive, limited to a single model, or had a clunky user experience. I wanted to build a platform that empowers creators, marketers, and developers to generate high-quality AI videos quickly and affordably from a simple text prompt. That's how Sora2 AI was born.

The What

Sora2 AI is a straightforward but powerful SaaS platform focused on AI video generation. Here are the core features:

• Dual Model Support: Get the best of both worlds. The platform integrates two leading AI video models:

  • Sora2: A cost-effective option for text-to-video and image-to-video, with an optional "Remove Watermark" feature.

  • Veo3: Offers both a Fast mode for quick prototypes and a Quality mode for higher-fidelity output.

• Flexible Credit System: We use a simple credit-based payment model.

  • Welcome Gift: New users get 20 free credits (valid for 30 days) just for signing up!

  • Transparent Pricing: A Sora2 or Veo3 Fast generation costs 10 credits, while Veo3 Quality costs 75. Removing the Sora2 watermark is a small +2 credit add-on.

  • Automatic Refunds: If a video generation fails, credits are automatically refunded to your account.

• Subscriptions & One-Time Packs: Choose what works for you. We offer monthly/annual subscriptions and one-time credit packs.

• Built for a Global Audience: The platform supports English, Chinese, Japanese, and Korean from day one.

The How (Tech Stack)

I know the IH community loves the technical details, so here’s a look under the hood:

• Frontend: Next.js 15 (App Router), React 19, TypeScript, TailwindCSS 4.0

• Backend & Database: PostgreSQL + Drizzle ORM

• Authentication: Better Auth

• Payments: Stripe

• AI Model APIs: Integrated Sora2 and Veo3

• Deployment: Vercel

I chose this stack because it's modern, incredibly productive, and has a great ecosystem, allowing me to iterate quickly as a solo founder.

Business Model

Our goal is to offer clear and affordable pricing.

  • Basic: $9.99/month for 200 credits

  • Pro: $29.99/month for 700 credits

  • Enterprise: $99.99/month for 3,000 credits

• Credit Packs:

  • One-time purchases ranging from $9.90 (100 credits) to $69.90 (1,000 credits).
