I just launched StackPilot AI — a directory where founders and teams can find, compare, and evaluate AI tools without the noise.
The problem I kept running into: every "best AI tools" list online is either outdated, sponsored, or just a dump of product descriptions. I needed something honest.
So I built it.
What StackPilot AI is:
- 500+ AI tools across 10+ categories
- Honest comparisons with pros, cons, and use cases
- A daily automated pipeline that discovers and publishes new tools every day
- Free to use — monetized through affiliate commissions, not ads
How I built it (as a non-coder):
- Lovable for the frontend
- Sanity CMS for content management
- n8n for automation (two agents running daily)
- Claude for content generation
- Zero employees, zero funding
The whole stack runs on ~$50/month.
I'm at $0 revenue right now, but affiliate programs are live (Make, ElevenLabs, Synthesia, and more). The goal is to hit $500 MRR by end of Q3.

That's exactly the direction we're heading. The goal isn't to be the biggest list — it's to be the most useful filter. We're building comparison layers and use-case matching so people can eliminate 490 of those 500 tools in under 2 minutes. Thanks for the sharp take, Aryan.
The hard part isn't collecting 500 AI tools anymore—it's helping people eliminate 495 of them. As the category gets noisier, the value shifts from having the biggest directory to making someone confident they're choosing the right tool for their specific job.
