For more than 10 years, I carried an idea I could not build: a map where you collect your life — countries, cities, memories, routes, and people — as one living personal history instead of scattered photos, bookmarks, and posts.
I’m an architect by background, not a developer. Before this project, I had never written code. I had no funding, no co-founder, and no technical team.
In late 2025, I finally began building it myself, using AI to help me turn the product vision into working code. I designed MY NODE MAP the way I approach architecture: through space, movement, hierarchy, emotion, and the experience of exploring something over time.
The core of the product is a 3D world map where users can save countries, cities, and personal “Nodes” — places connected to memories, people, or moments.
What is live now:
- An interactive 3D world map with custom layers, places, countries, cities, and personal Nodes
- Travel routes that connect visited places chronologically
- Trip planning tools: folders, notes, checklists, tasks, sharing, and export
- Friends, activity feed, groups, direct messages, and a travel forum
- Expense splitting for shared trips, including multiple currencies and automatic settlements
- Achievements and a leaderboard based on unique countries and cities
- NoDUS, an AI companion that uses saved places to suggest rough travel ideas
- Tomato Battle: a separate live globe where people react to countries with hearts or tomatoes and see global sentiment change in real time
Honest status: the core map and most features are live. Some experiments, including AI trip tickets, automatic chat translation, and matching logic, are still in beta.
I have no marketing budget and no audience in this space, so I’m looking for direct, critical feedback.

You’ve built several different reasons someone could use this, which makes the “why come back?” question especially interesting.

Thanks — I think My Node Map can create several natural reasons to come back. It’s not just a map, but a living social layer over the world: people can explore places, add notes and photos, follow friends, discover relevant videos, join discussions, and connect with others who share their interests.
One of the most engaging loops could be Tomato Battle — playful head-to-head debates about countries, cities, food, culture, and personal preferences. Users can challenge friends, vote, defend their favorite places, and see how opinions change across the community. The “tomato” idea keeps disagreement light and fun, while the map gives every battle real context.
A user might discover a country through a battle, open its map node, watch videos, read someone’s notes, and then add it to their own travel history. They might return later because a friend visited a new country, posted photos, added a note, or challenged them to another battle.
So the return loop comes from combining exploration, personal memories, social discovery, fresh content, notifications, and friendly competition. We’re still early, but the goal is to make My Node Map feel like a world that keeps changing — and a place people want to check back into.

I’m not a developer who was given a task. I designed and built every part myself, from the globe and layers to the data model, social features, Tomato Battle, and AI companion. I keep working on it, improving details and fixing what doesn’t feel right.
