I’m building a 24/7 safe space where lonely people can talk about anything.

Built a 24/7 safe space that offers emotional support for people who feel lonely or anxious.
It’s designed to be warm and empathetic — not robotic.
I’d love some honest feedback on:
1️⃣ How the experience feels overall
2️⃣ If it builds enough emotional trust
3️⃣ Any ideas to

I think this is a really sweet Idea I just wonder how it differs from using chatgpt as a friend. I think we are lonelier than ever nowadays though and I love the concept ! I always thought there should be like a third space for people to go to to meet new friends and I feel like this could be like a digital version! Thanks !

Thank you so much! It genuinely made me happy to hear that you liked the idea.
And about how my service differs from regular ChatGPT — mine is much more affordable and specifically designed to feel emotionally warmer and more natural in conversation.

I added several custom rules to make the responses feel more like a real, gentle counseling experience:

If a user already expresses that they’re struggling, the AI avoids unnecessary questions, and only asks something short and careful when absolutely needed.

It also avoids phrases that force the user to respond again — like “feel free to share more” or “tell me anytime” — because those can feel burdensome when someone is overwhelmed.

And I included many refined response examples so the AI stays stable, warm, and supportive.

The goal is to create a soft, comforting “digital third space”
where people can rest for a moment without any pressure when they’re having a hard time.

Your feedback made me realize that maybe this shouldn’t just be an AI —
but also a place where people can eventually meet new friends if they want to.
Hearing your thoughts really strengthened that idea for me.

Thank you again for your kind words.
They genuinely motivate me to keep improving this project!

Hey Pizza, this is an important and meaningful project. Tackling loneliness with accessible technology is a huge endeavor—congrats on working on something that truly matters.
I came over from a conversion copy angle (I run Quratulain Creatives, specializing in fixing revenue leaks for SaaS founders), and I see a crucial messaging flaw when converting users for a service this sensitive: The Vulnerability Trust Gap.
    The Flaw (Diagnosis):
The user seeking this tool is at a point of high vulnerability. Their primary fear isn't cost or setup time; it's the profound fear that the AI will not understand them, will be judgmental, or will give generic, harmful advice. If your copy emphasizes "AI" or "chatbot," it triggers immediate skepticism and emotional friction. You are selling technology when they are buying non-judgmental safety.
    The High-Value Fix (Reciprocity Trigger):
To secure the conversion, you must neutralize the user's fear of emotional exposure and failure by leading with safety and non-judgment.

    • Rewrite the Value Prop: Change the focus from AI to the emotional space. Test a headline like: "Your Private, Always-Available Listener. Zero Judgment. Zero Pressure."
    • Add a Specific Trust Anchor: Immediately address the authenticity doubt. Add a statement like: "Trained exclusively to listen, validate, and guide—not to judge."
This shift in language uses Risk Aversion to eliminate the emotional fear, making the decision to start talking much easier. You move the conversation from "using a bot" to "finding a safe place."
Hope this high-leverage idea helps you capture more committed users! Keep building!

I tried it and the idea is really sweet, but I felt like the enter UI is slightly off — Notice the enter button position

Also a small thing from a user-emotional point of view:

When someone is lonely or typing messy, sometimes they don’t want methods or corrections… they just want the AI to reply softly, like
“Yeah, that sucks. Life does that sometimes.”

Just a bit more empathy + shorter responses would make the whole experience feel more comforting.

Thank you so much for trying it out! I really appreciate your feedback.

You're absolutely right about the button alignment — I’ll fix that as soon as possible.

Also, I’ve been feeling the same thing when using my own service, but your comment helped me clearly understand what exactly felt off.
Your insight about empathy and shorter, softer responses was incredibly helpful.

Thanks again for taking the time to share this. It genuinely helps me make the experience better for everyone.

        Glad the feedback helped!
If you ever want someone to take a quick look or test a small feature, I don't mind checking it out.
No commitments- I like supporting cool indie builds!😊

Thank you so much for calling it a cool indie build.
Your reply truly motivated me to work even harder.
          I really appreciate it.
My goal is to keep improving this project until it becomes a service that you would want to use as well.

Sometime AI will give you more generic type of suggestions/solutions which in a way already know to the person, this will break the trust of the user early.
I would suggest to ask some basic questions (may be onboarding questions) to know the user so that AI will know the context better.

    1. 1

Thanks a lot for sharing this!
I actually felt the same issue — some responses were a bit too generic, and I wasn’t sure how to fix it.
Your suggestion about adding simple onboarding questions makes total sense.
I’ll experiment with this direction and refine the experience. Really appreciate the feedback!

I m Benedit. In a world undergoing extraordinary changes, especially on an emotional level. Absent family, false friends, lies becoming commonplace. What you have created is an ingenious idea to inspire people and motivate them. Well done!

Thank you so much for your valuable response. I'm really happy. To address the issues you mentioned, I created an initial version. Until just now, I was fixing the code, so the website might have felt a bit awkward, but I wonder if that was okay. Your compliments mean a lot to me. I am improving the website little by little every day. Please keep watching over it.

I love the idea, the product is really nice! Just one thing I noticed: it would be even better if the app worked more like a chat. Right now, when I send something, my previous messages disappear. Maybe you could also add a chat history feature. All the best!

    1. 2

Thank you so much! You’re the first person who said both the idea and the product are great — that really means a lot to me.
Your message truly encouraged me, and I’ll make sure to improve the part you mentioned.

The problem you're addressing is deeply human and increasingly important. Loneliness is one of those silent struggles people face but rarely talk about openly. Your focus on warmth and empathy rather than clinical detachment shows you understand what people really need. Testing this with real users in Korea and being open to feedback demonstrates genuine care about impact.

    1. 1

I didn’t expect to receive feedback this quickly — thank you so much!! I’m truly grateful!! I’ll do my best to improve the quality of the AI even more!!

  8. 1

Please note, this is an early version, so the AI quality might not be perfect yet.
