I wanted to share my latest project with you all: I'm building an indie startup and video recording the entire process.
Literally every minute I spend working on Shuffleboard is recorded and uploaded to YouTube. Each video is a couple hours long, and shows both my face and my screen as I work. There are about 30 sessions and about 70 hours of work so far.

Like in any startup, there's a rollercoaster of ups and downs. The visual brand was designed in a couple hours, but figuring out how to secure the database took almost a week. There are moments where I'm having a blast, moments where I want to give up, and lots of hours where nothing much happens at all.
This is a super cool community of people building awesome stuff. I'd love to hear what you think :)

I think the idea of recording something and sharing your journey is really cool. I don't know how many people would actually watch all of it though. It seems like once you are successful than people will come flocking to see what you did. So if that case happens you are pretty well set up which is cool!
Thanks Noah! Yeah the videos are so long, it's almost literally unwatchable... but I think there's something interesting about having the "complete" picture.

I like this idea. Have the raw videos for review/dissecting but have a summary for people to get quick takeaways from. Maybe calling out resources for the problems they solved and providing sample code where applicable.
I could see the summary (if it had time-stamps) providing great info for people with similar problems.
"At 2:47:30 they fix XYZ and we need to fix it too!" - goes to raw video and finds 2:47:30 and watches what happened

I'll definitely keep quick summaries in mind! "If I had more time, I would have written a shorter letter" definitely applies here. I also wanted to play with the idea of a complete record, but I know it's super tough to follow along with!
