I’m building an AI course, but the course isn’t the real product…

As a Copywriter, I’ve been learning email marketing, writing sales pages, and studying lead gen like a madman…

But I had no real audience to test anything on.

So I decided to do something smart: Create a free AI course.

I'm quite knowledgeable about ChatGPT and whenever I share my insight, people get amazed.

So I thought to myself... "Why not build a course on it?"

But here’s the twist:

The course isn't the main product... My email list is.

I made the course to attract subscribers, so I could experiment on them (in the most ethical way possible, lol).

Now, I sharing valuable and intriguing emails that engage and prepare them for the course.

THE GOAL?

The goal here is simple:

● Sharpen my skills in email marketing by using all tricks like automation, Broadcast, segment etc.

● Grow my own list, for future purposes

● Use these lessons to help my clients win.

So, It’s a win-win: they get value, and I get better at my craft.

Also, if anyone here is building something and needs help with writing, building their email list, or turning subscribers into customers... feel free to reach out: [email protected]

Would love to connect and see how I can help.

Nice move. I didn’t fully grasp the value of an email list until after my own launch, just weeks ago. I remember reading that when WhatsApp sold, part of the valuation was based on something like $42 per active user. That really changed how I think about the importance of engaged users early on. Best of luck on your approach! Looking forward to seeing a successful update :)

That $42-per-user thing is wild, I’ve never heard it put that way, but yeah… it makes total sense now why a list is an asset, not just a “channel.”
I’m glad you figured it out early too. Excited to learn from your journey as well, Lou!

Thanks for the encouragement, will definitely share updates as I go.

That's awesome! I had heard recently about the importance of getting into the content game as an entrepreneur, and creating free material is an excellent way to do that (unless like me you have no valuable skills to share). Hope this goes well for you!

I feel you! You know, I used to think I had nothing valuable to share too...until people started asking me follow-up questions anytime I talked about AI or copywriting.

Sometimes what feels “basic” to us is actually gold to someone else.

Thanks for the kind words! I hope you do end up sharing too… I bet you’ve got more value than you think.
