I’ve spent a lot of time learning through online courses and YouTube tutorials, and I kept noticing the same problem:
You can understand the lesson, but the moment you actually start building something, you get stuck.
So I started building MentorOS.
The idea is to create an AI mentor that doesn’t just give you information. It teaches you through voice, tests your understanding, helps you build real projects, analyzes your screen, and guides you step-by-step when you get stuck — even showing you where to click and what to do next.
I want learning to feel less like watching a course and more like having someone experienced sitting beside you while you build.
I’m still early in the journey, but MentorOS is now live, and I’m continuously improving it based on feedback.
Would love to hear from other indie hackers: what was the biggest problem you faced when trying to learn a technical skill?
