Hey everyone.
I’m Coen, one of the founders of Parallax.
We’re building AI coaching for sales teams, but I’m trying hard not to describe it in the usual “AI will replace sales reps” way because I don’t believe that.
I’ve sold B2B software myself, and the weird thing about sales training is that it usually makes sense until the call gets difficult.
You practice the pitch.
You know the playbook.
You know the competitor notes.
You know the case study you should mention.
Then a buyer asks something awkward live.
Pricing comes up too early.
A technical question gets asked.
A competitor comes up.
The buyer says “send me info.”
The rep either guesses, stalls, says “let me get back to you,” or remembers the right answer ten minutes after the call ends.
That’s the problem we’re working on.
Parallax helps reps before and during calls:
Before the call, reps can practice with AI buyers based on real scenarios.
During the call, Parallax listens privately and surfaces the right coaching, battlecard, technical doc, or proof point when it’s relevant.
After the call, the system learns from what actually worked so the team gets sharper over time.
The part I’m still pressure-testing is trust.
I don’t want to build something reps hate.
If live coaching feels like surveillance, it fails.
If it throws too much advice at the rep, it fails.
If it sounds like a generic AI sales trainer, it fails.
The useful version probably feels more like:
“Here’s the competitor point.”
“Ask who else is involved.”
“Don’t answer pricing yet.”
“Pull up the security doc.”
Short, timely, and actually usable while someone is still talking to a buyer.
We’re launching early access now and I’d love feedback from founders, sales leaders, and anyone who has hired their first reps.
The questions I’m trying to answer:
Would you trust live AI coaching on sales calls if the rep stays in control?
Is the bigger pain for you ramp, playbook adoption, objection handling, or technical questions?
Would you rather use something like this for practice before calls, live support during calls, or call review afterward?
Happy to share the product if useful, but mostly looking for honest feedback right now.
This is interesting. I’ve definitely needed a nudge in the middle of a sales call before
Your IH post made me feel the problem immediately that training disappears the second the call gets hard. Your homepage never says that. On the live experience concern — that's a messaging problem before it's a product problem. If the first thing a rep reads is ‘AI coaching during calls' they imagine a robot interrupting them. Your demo workspace shows exactly how it actually feels , but it's below the fold.
The Gong objection is also buried in the FAQ. That's the first thing a sales leader thinks. It needs to be above the fold, not at the bottom.
A bit more context:
The closest products people might compare this to are AI roleplay tools and live sales assistants, but we’re trying to connect the full loop.
Practice before the call.
Support during the call.
Learn from what actually worked after the call.
The thing I’m most worried about is the live experience. Sales calls are already cognitively heavy. If the AI is noisy, creepy, or too generic, reps will ignore it.
So the main feedback I’d love is:
What would make this feel useful rather than distracting?
