I’m building ShipFeed because launch posts disappear too fast

Hey Indie Hackers, I just added ShipFeed here, and this is the problem that pushed me to build it.

Most founders only get a few moments when their product has a good reason to be shared: a new feature, a launch note, a milestone, a lesson learned, a small win. But those updates usually disappear into X, LinkedIn, Slack, changelogs, and random launch threads. A week later, there is no useful public trail except a bunch of scattered posts.

I want ShipFeed to be a home for those updates. Product pages where founders can publish launch notes, product updates, and progress milestones that are readable, indexable, and connected back to the product.

The thesis is simple: not every update deserves a huge launch, but many updates deserve a permanent URL.

I’m starting small:

- product profiles

- founder-submitted updates

- moderation, so it does not turn into a spam directory

- categories and discovery

- basic SEO foundations

I’m especially interested in the distribution side. If a founder is already shipping progress, each update should be able to do a little more work: explain the product, earn a backlink, give search engines fresh context, and create something worth sharing beyond one social post.

I’d love feedback from other builders:

Where do you currently publish product updates?

Would you use a dedicated update page for SEO, backlinks, or distribution?

What would make this useful enough to keep coming back?
