I’m looking for a cofounder -- a solid tech guy with a strategic mindset who shares my vision.

I want to build a social network that connects people on the basis of their intellectual interests (Psychology, Quantum Physics, Data Science...).

To give you an idea, picture LinkedIn but for people who want to pursue their intellectual interests.

I'm a thinker and an entreprepreneur, pragmatic and creative. I pivot within the scope of innovation, creativity and strategy; and my business sense gets me to execute.

I'm a French citizen and billingual. Call me on WhatsApp -- +33 6 17 79 96 94 -- if your curiosity is sparked.

Cheers,
Nick

    Hey, Nicolas!
It's a really nice idea. I think people in general are not satisfied with big social networks anymore and they might migrate to smaller and more specific ones.

There's no current social network for that?
Why can't people just use Quora instead of your (future)social network?

Sub reddits a are also an example of existing niche micro social networks

      1. 1

Yeah, sub reddit is a good example and they could became their own social network

      Hey Dandan,

Thanks. To my knowledge (the Google research I did) no one is doing that.

Quora is a hit and run platform, people ask questions and they get answers, but it does not expand from there. I've been thinking about a platform (like Facebook and LinkedIn in termes of structure) where users can have a feed based on their preferences and a profile page where they showcase their knowledge spectrum, what they're looking for and what they're interested in.

I have a couple of Word docs that depict the structure of my concept. I can email them to you so you have a visual understanding of what I want to do.

Quora is a bit more than Q&A now, you can create posts, there's a bit of communities in their "Spaces", but yes, it's still not like facebook

      2. 1

Ok, email them to me and I'll take a loot

        1. 1

All right, what's your email address?

          1. 1

It's the @Gmail in my profile

            1. 1

              you mean dandandandaann@gmail.com?
Anyways, I just checked Quora and I realized my concept is quite similar to Quora. I'm now wondering how I can pivot my concept in a different way. I'm thinking of an app that connects users to other users for them to have a conversation based on shared or complementary intellectual interests. What do you think?

              1. 1

No, it's the e-mail in my profile
I just don't want to write it down here because of "possible crawlers and spam reasons"

Hi, I might be interested in your Idea. I already built a social-networking platform I did not go live with yet, that should be able to serve all the requirements for just a little more than an MVP of your idea. I built it with a similar idea in mind, but it was too much to handle for a single person to do all the technical stuff and also do the research on the legal- and business-side

I don't like using whatsapp for this kind of (semi-professional) communication. Can you maybe post your E-Mail adress, to discuss your goals and plans
