Hey everyone,
I’ve been building SaaS products for a while now — shipping, failing, restarting.
And there’s one thing that’s always bothered me:
I never really felt seen.
You post an update on X? It disappears in hours.
You ask for feedback in a Discord? No one replies.
You join a “community”? It’s just promo spam and dead channels.
There’s nowhere real for early-stage founders like us to build in public and actually get support that’s useful — or even just acknowledgement that you exist.
And honestly? It gets lonely.
So I decided to stop waiting and just build the thing I wish existed.
It's called Droon — a community-as-a-SaaS platform made for SaaS founders, by someone who’s tired of fake engagement and dead ends.
But it’s not just another forum. Droon is:
A public home for your journey that’s indexed & searchable
A space where feedback, feature requests & comments actually organize themselves
A smart layer that helps you understand your users’ pain without needing 100 surveys
A place to grow your early audience as you build
It’s built for people like me and (probably) you — trying to build something real, without a huge audience, and without the luxury of shouting into the void.
If this hits home, I’d love for you to be part of it.
👉 Early Access is waiting - droonai.com (it’s free)
You’ll get early access + shape what this becomes.
No hype. Just something that needs to exist.
And I’d love your help building it right.
very good indeed, it's the same difficulty I have and what I thought about starting to develop too, I was looking for a real community where I can talk and interact with people to test my product
Hey it's live on droonai.com.
Please go and try it and let me know what can I improve.
Working on it, stay tuned. Will share here once MVP is done.
Feel that everyday bro, running company, paying 4 developers, I was ready for this, but hard as it should be even more.. but I'm privileged not giving up, my platform is reconized locally by museums, festivals, providers and tourists, but yet I need in team co founder/s to fight beside me. In that regards I'm meeting next week some rock star developer from Berlin, he told me he will involved and he will help finding other developers, if we do so, right team right product, we solv couple of problems, success is already predictable.

You’ve hit the nail on the head. This pain is experienced by all builders. Building distribution is challenging and if this effectively helps with that then you’ve found the right PMF.
Solid move calling out the real pain—early-stage founders do get lost in the noise and ghosted in communities. Droon sounds like a much-needed antidote to the empty hype and spam fest most platforms have become.
I’m intrigued by the searchable public journey and smart user insight layer. That’s the kind of thoughtful design that can actually add strategic value instead of just noise.
Key will be execution—making sure it stays authentic and doesn’t become just another dead channel. If you nail that, this could be a game-changer for founders who feel isolated in the grind.
Count me interested. Keep it real, keep it useful.
Thank you for this thoughtful comment... you really got what I’m trying to do with Droon.
The “empty hype and spam fest” problem is exactly what pushed me to build this.
Execution is absolutely the key, and I’m committed to keeping it authentic, useful, and never just another dead community.
Appreciate your interest... can’t wait to share more soon!
Hey NyraStudios,
It's live on droonai.com. I would love to hear your thoughts and let me know what I can improve.
I hope you will continue to move forward with the forum you created as your wings.
This is very motivating for me.. I'm going to cook it..
Thanks ❤️
Building in public is a great way to stay motivated! I'm curious to learn more about Droon. What's the problem you're solving with it?
Droon is for founders and builders which makes it easy to gather feedback, feature requests, bug reports from their users through a community where your users engage and share their experiences. AI analyzes user sentiments etc... and a lot more.
Man I feel this deep.
I’ve launched multiple ecommerce stores before, scaled one of them to $30K/month, helped another brand go from zero to over $1M ARR. But recently it’s been so much harder to start something again.
Not because I’m afraid — but because I’ve tried so many things already, burned through savings, and this time I’m low on capital, doing everything alone, and don’t have a co-founder or even a real partner to build with.
It’s exhausting.
Seeing your post reminded me I’m not the only one. Thank you for sharing this.
Hey sadok
It's live in droonai.com
Please have a look and let me know what I can make better.
Please explore it
Man I feel this deep. Been solo-building for a while too — and that exhaustion of doing everything alone really hits.
Seeing this reminded me I’m not the only one pushing through it. Appreciate you sharing and always happy to connect with you just drop by & we accompany each other 🤝
Congrats on your successful ecommerce store and other brand. You still have made it to such figures.
There a lot of founders are struggling even if they can build cool things, but not getting users... That's very much demotivating to move on...
This would be soo helpful👍
How will you prevent exactly the same issues that you mentioned in your post? I can imagine that this will turn into a "spam my promo and close the tab again" project if not done carefully. But maybe I'm also just a bit burned by the subreddits that all wanted to become this and got overrun with "hey please try my saas" posts :D
Totally valid concern and I’ve seen that happen too. I’m solving it with auto-moderation, AI-powered post filtering, and a reputation system that rewards value, not spam. The goal is to actually help SaaS builders grow and engage closely with their users and even the users themselves, not just be another promo dump.
I hope you get it right. I see that issue as its main problem to fight against.
right
I love it
Hey there,
Just saw your post about Droon — it really resonated. Love the idea and the way you're framing the problem.
I'm with Radiance — we help early-stage SaaS teams with UX, product clarity, and flexible design support. If you ever need a hand making Droon as intuitive as it is meaningful, happy to chat.
Either way, signed up and cheering for the launch 🙌

Cool idea - I think the feedback/features request loop is especially important. At least for me. @devris when will it launch?
This is a big project for us so its gonna take time. But definitely worth waiting.
Good approach. That's a real pain for founders or startups. I'm really looking forward to using it 😅
I don't know how you are going to avoid the noise generators from populating your platform. All social networks are designed around traffic maximization. The traffic is created by shitty post that trigger people to comment. Toxicity is rewarded. Hard work posts are boring, they don't create user engagement, so no traffic.
I see in indiehackers platform that same behavior with spammers flodding all the channels with hundreds of useless AI generated posts.
Internet doesn't care if you have been working for years in a project, only if you are toxic enough to drive traffic of their sites up.
Finally the tech-bro culture of the tech startups is extremely toxic where the founders believe to be a superior race and exploit everyone around them.
I don't think there is space for decent hard working people in this morally dead wasteland.
Are forums publicly accessible and hosted on a custom domain?
Yes.. if you create the community as public.. and about custom domain so its like
<your-app-name>.droon.vercel.app
Will there be a way to keep users within our website? Like forums.our-website.com
This is so true, all this "amazing ideas" on how to get first users. "{Just make a launch there" and you will get 1000 users in one day. So fake, almost all this platforms are garbage and find first customers is not so easy
I’ve felt the same — launched a few products, posted updates, asked for feedback… and silence.
It’s tough when you’re building solo and feel like you're shouting into the void.
Right now working on a small tool to help people find TikTok creators just by describing them (e.g. “mom who makes fitness videos” → real profiles). Still MVP, but building in public — and totally relate to the need for a space like Droon.
I resonate with this so much looking forward to see your progress :)
Stay tuned, legend...
Isn't this same as Product Hunt, Indie Hackers and other communities on Discord etc.
It's completely different than all of the above... I would recommend to check our landing page once that would make things much clearer.

btw...
Droon isn’t just another community.
It’s built for SaaS founders who are tired of spammy chats and ghost-town threads.
and much more.
No hype. No noise. Just real, useful growth.
That’s what makes Droon different.
What's the difference with Indie hackers?
Looking forward to seeing what it looks like. Building alone is definitely... lonely 🥲
Working on it. 🧑💻
