Hi there!
I’ve been working on Feature Gauge — a tool to validate your feature ideas before building them. Here’s the meta part… I’m actually using Feature Gauge to build Feature Gauge. It’s helping me decide what features to build.
I’d love to know whether the landing page explains the concept well enough — do you get it?
Also, any other candid feedback would be extremely valuable!
Thanks.
Site: https://featuregauge.com
Really like the site structure @jonathandale it looks modern and professional.
Would love to give a try. When are you planning to launch?
I'm wondering if you're keen on extending a conversation via Twitter?
Thanks @felix12777!
It's hard to say when the launch will be... currently focussed on making a great experience for the end users that will be interacting with it. However, I'll be sure to reach out when I have a better sense of when the launch might be.
RE: Twitter — maybe in the future, but to be honest I don't use twitter too much these days.
I love, your product!
I just tried to improve your h1, but you don't have to change it if you think yours is better, anyway, what if it was:
Problem: Wasting time building wrong features
Benefit: Our tool gives you feedback on pre-build stage features
It's funny, as originally I had started with a heading similar to yours — essentially along the lines of "stop wasting time", or "stop building features that nobody wants".
In a different project I'd used a similar tone, and was offered guidance around stating things more positively.
Thanks for your perspective though! I may switch tack, as the "wasting time on the wrong features" would certainly resonate.
Hey @jonathandale - glad you agree: basically my logic for saying stop wasting time, is that time is an extremely valuable thing, we only have this much time.
Wasting time on unwanted features means only one thing: money + time gone.
If we can save time or money or both, as cheesy as it sounds, our brain will basically double focus on those words.
At the same time it is true that we're loosening it by over-using the words "STOP WASTING...Time/money" but I think at your stage, it's still okay to use these words to convey the idea of preventing the generation of wasted features.
There are other ways you can spin the H1, and honestly only conversating with your users/target audience will be able to tell what works best!
Hey John, I think it's a pretty unique way to gather feedback and I think the demo explains it perfectly.
I can definitely see people using a service like this.
Good to know — appreciate you taking a look.
