Loved it, I have been following you from start, way to go bro
Thank you Pramod, appreciate the support :)
Good luck on your journey man.
By the looks of it, it'll be very challenging - most of the work will be organizing events, reaching out to people and cold messaging/emailing.
The events I've got down to a science, but there are a lot of small tasks each event requires. Hoping to simplify and possibly outsource some of the process.
10x your revenue is a definitely a bold goal for 2022. Wish you all the best and sincerely hope you reach your goal!
Thanks Paul!
Here's the game plan for hitting that target if you're interested:
In 2021 I started to monetize Indie Worldwide, a virtual community I run to support indie founders. Founders come here to Indie Hackers to share content but they come to Indie Worldwide to make friends.
This past year I started to realize that Indie Worldwide could be more than just a meetup group and might have potential to be a sustainable business as well. I loved the idea of being able to work on it full time.
The first product we launched was called Founders' Club, a 1 to 1 matching service to introduce Indie Founders to each other. This started off free, but multiple people offered to pay me, so I decided to switch it to paid at the very beginning of the year.
Then, over the summer, we launched a challenge called 100 in 100. The goal: get 100 new paying users in 100 days. That challenge ended up growing pretty big and we were able to bring on some paid sponsors both for the challenge and for the community as a whole.
All in all, the community ended up generated over $10,000 in revenue, despite lacking a business plan and without really even thinking of it as a business:
Founders' Club: $7,609.00
100in100 Sponsors: $2,050.00
Indie Worldwide Sponsors: $1,550.00
Now, in the first few days of 2022, I'm hoping to be able to go full time on Indie Worldwide. I see the potential now to grow it into a sustainable indie business.
My goal for 2022 is to 10x revenue (to $100k+) and to help at least 100 indie founders double their revenues as well.
Happy New Year!
