A week ago I had a discussion with friend about which payment provider should he choose. Then I made a spreadsheet to compare 2 payment providers.
It's just simple as, input your price then the table will generate the fees with various unit sold, Show how much your revenue reduced etc.
But then people demands to add more calculations and another payment gateway. I knew it's easier to create it with Google Sheet, but it's hard for mobile devices users to read it and another UX problems.
So I created this site: https://costme.fauz.io/
What features you want me to implement? Let me know. Thank you π
Big Update: β¨β¨
Just launched on PH, upvote if you like it. Thank you very much guys π
https://www.producthunt.com/posts/costme
little update:
I created a product page on IH, incase you want an update about CostMe -> https://www.indiehackers.com/product/costme
Also launched on Reddit r/SideProject, maybe you want to upvote it -> https://www.reddit.com/r/SideProject/comments/c36v0v/costme_compare_payment_providers_fees_calculate/
Interesting idea.
Really need to be able to sort columns descending ...
Secondly, you really need to add ALOT more payment providers to it.
I'd add a button/cta on the right with your ref link. Relying on people Clicking the Logos isnt good enough IMO.
If you reach out to each of them, you may possibly be able to strike a deal of e.g $20k in processing free that you can pass along to those that use your link.
Overall nice MVP.
Hi, how about installments calculations?
Nice site, by the way.
thank you @kimpastro π
do you mean installments for a credit card? the interest rate etc?
yes, in credit card, the system returns how much will be charged per installment.
Ex:
User put U$100 in 5x
System returns:
1x = U$ 98 (1 fee + 1 service)
2x = U$ 94(3 fee + 1 service)
and so on
@kimpastro as far as I knew, the installment was on the users side not in our side as a merchant/business.
Or is there anything I miss?
I'm living in Brazil, so the payment methods here (at least the most) charge another percent by installment.
Ex:
Credit Card Plan is 3.99% fixed with an increase of 1.49% by installment
Ex:
3x installments = 3.99% + (1.49% * 3) which is: 8.46%
SumUp for example:
US: https://sumup.com/credit-card-processing-fees/
Brazil: https://sumup.com.br/planos/
Find the select field "Escolha as parcelas" and then look at the options.
This is great. I don't need to do math myself anymore. Thanks and congrats on the launch π
Thanks @absyah hope you enjoy CostMe π€
but you still need an awareness to the provider you choose, don't 100% rely on our calculations. It's just basic picture about the fees from various payment providers.
Again, thank you π
well done! How do you plan to update and check payment details changin over time ?
Hello @Vokail, for now I just following them on Twitter and get a notification when they tweets.
In long term plan, I will make a script that will run daily to scrape their pricing plan page (and another pages that's related), If they made a change it will notify me and I will check it manually. (I knew there is a tool to do this, will research again)
Hope you enjoy the CostMe π
Thanks quick answer, appreciated! :+1
I like you iterative approach, well said!
To provide more value right now, could you display last update for each provider? So for example if you update tomorrow Stripe info (just saying) I know you get last update, so as user I can trust your info more
Haha, I'm simple guy @Vokail when see any incoming email, I open it, if it need an action just act immediately π
Thank you, that's great idea. I will make another section in the site to lists the latest update from the providers and link it to the tweet or blogpost they made πππ
Thanks again π
you are welcome!
What is the tool you would use for this?
@Bsme I didn't understood, your reply for me or for Vokail? sorry π€
Love this. I want an email when you do email marketing. Want to ditch mailchimp.
Thanks bro
I Will post on IH if I launch it. π
this is great. you should also list features, like Paddle can provide in-app purchase UI for mac and windows. i do not know of any other provider that does that
Wow thanks dude π
I will add more features in the near future about each providers pros and cons including what you mentioned above π

Halo mas π
Well done!
MercadoPago, Yandex Money, Skrill, Neteller, PagSeguro, TigoMoney are some payment gateways you should add. Also the more mainstream ones like Braintree.
Hello @milozo Thanks man π
I've added braintree to the list πfor another providers, actually it's quite hard because their fees was hidden π¬
But I will try to add more as much as possible. π
Sorry for late reply btw, hope you enjoy it
Hello
Great work! looks very nice and informative and I'm wondering if you can contact me about putting my service on your list of providers.
My email can be found in my profile.
Thank you.
Hi @thedangler really sorry for late reply, I just woke up π
I will check your service
Thank you
I do not have pricing on my site because each company is different.
But we could come to an arrangement that puts a set of pricing options on your site that I will honor.
Regards
Matt
