I made a site for people living abroad and reached the 300 verified users milestone!
As a digital nomad living abroad (software engineer), I always wanted to build something for people alike, so I recently built a social media site for people living abroad and is growing very fast!
I have recently reached a milestone of 300 email verified users and it keeps growing with dozens of users every week.
Interested to know your thoughts on the site and if you think it has the potential to generate decent income.
What's your marketing plan so far to get these 300? Well done.
For potential income holding zoom events with guest speakers from different countries might be interesting. My guess if you're living abroad you're probably interested in living in another country, so learning about other peoples experience in an online conference sounds worth paying for.
Also, people who attend can get a fancy badge on their profile and shows up visibly in conversation. Which creates demand for a scarce digital item available only for a limited time.

About the monetization: it seems to me only ads are viable. Also not plain ads but special services for expats via partnerships.
Why subscription might not work: there are expat communities on social platforms which are accessible for free. Any kind of paywall would just make people go elsewhere.
