I made an intro course outlining the entire process of making an app

Hey everyone! I'm sooo excited to announce that I officially opened enrollment in my new course, How to Make an App! It's a self-paced, online course for beginners that provides the complete, step-by-step process for making an app, from idea to launch.

If you're on Indie Hackers you probably know how to make an app so this course probably isn't for you. But if you know anyone who has been thinking about making an app, but have been feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or unsure of the steps to take, please share this with them!

More details are available at http://course.howtomakeanapp.co.

I'd appreciate any feedback about the sales page!

Hi Kim! I think it's a great idea, but expensive. I think the hurdle is trying to sell the less expensive version of the course, considering that the higher tiers get more perks. Also, as a software dev, one of my biggest gripes, when people show up at my doorstep with an idea, is the lack of requirements. Mock-ups are great, but the rules are just as important, and I can't see that you cover that in your course. Most people don't think about stuff like that, and I've lost many customers because I pointed out that they just can't host it for $10 per month.

@ltmod thanks for the feedback! Can you clarify or give me an example of what you mean by rules?

What I meant by rules is business logic. In many cases, a visual mock-up doesn't explain what happens under the hood, and people always make assumptions. This leads to problems because what the business person assumes and the developer assumes may not be the same thing.

Noted! I'm aiming to touch on some of that in the earlier phases before they even get to mockups so I'll keep in this mind for my first round of students.
