I'm a technical guy, I've leveled up MonitUp but I need a Co-Founder for sales, marketing and other non-technical processes.
I spoke to an investor yesterday and he suggested I find a non-technical Co-founder.
MonitUp makes money on the monthly subscription model, but I haven't been able to sell with this model yet.
So far, I have only been able to make 22 sales through AppSumo.
I have a total of 14 clients from 9 different countries. I take customer reviews into account and determine new features accordingly.
I would like to find an experienced Co-Founder, The Co-Founder must have worked on a similar project before, it must have been successful. Otherwise, we cannot progress fast. What percentage of shares should I give to Co-Founder? What should I expect? Should he spend money on the project?
I'm curious about your suggestions.

Hello Faruk Durak ,
Are you searching for somebody you're going to pay to or you want to share an equity? Anyway, I've compiled an article on the topic of "How to Find a Great Marketing Co-Founder" few weeks ago. Feel free to take a look: https://spacetime.ooo/how-to-find-a-great-marketing-co-founder/
Hello Marek,
Thank you for sharing your article. It contains very useful information.
I work very hard because all the responsibility is on me, and I expect Co-Founder to work as devotedly and hard as I do. To take the workload on the subjects that I am not an expert on and to be able to make bigger turnovers.
But being a partner in a business is really difficult and scary. Your perspectives and many aspects need to be similar, but I think it is very difficult to find the right person.
Since MonitUp's revenues are still very limited, I have no choice but to give shares, I think there may be a rate of 20%, but there are different values between 80% and 20%, and the rates of dedication to MonitUp will not be the same. And this can cause problems.
I don't know yet what's right, I'm just researching for now.
What kind of market are you trying to serve? Looks like time tracking to me but I know a lot of tools have that build it.
My background is leading sales teams for early & growth stage startups.
Firms with remote full-time employees are interested in MonitUp.
We are planning to attract the interest of companies working with Freelancers with the Freelancer package, which we will activate in a few weeks.
I am experiencing startup processes for the first time. I try and learn things, which takes time.
My expectation from Co-Founder; I think it should be someone who has experienced the startup and exit processes before, who will help in making decisions, and who will take the sales and marketing side completely.
Interesting, I'm not sure I can help. But I know a few people that used to work at TSheets in case you might want an introduction?
