There is certainly magic in the world, and the OP of this post reminded me of that so I thought I'd share the article. Even if we don't understand something like climatology or other obscure scientific disciplines, the results of these fields speak for themselves and give us reasons to agree with their summations.
The best example of this, which the OP mentions, is climate change. Years back they make certain predictions based on their scientific reasoning and their predictions, albeit not entirely, came true. Does that make them magicians? I'll leave that for you to decide.
A prediction based on 'scientific' reasoning that 'albeit not entirely, came true' is a fancy way of saying that they made a prediction that did not actually come true.
