I launched a small, focused tool called AyatFlow yesterday. It generates Quranic verse images with an emphasis on correctness, respectful typography, and verified translations.
It's intentionally narrow. No AI. No growth hacks. No monetization yet.
I wanted to share a few things I learned from the launch. Not as advice, but as observations for anyone else building something niche.
This isn't a complaint. It's just how PH works. Products with existing audiences rise quickly. Products without them don't. That doesn't make PH useless, but it does mean you should be clear about what you're testing.
In my case, I wasn't testing reach. I was testing whether the idea made sense to people encountering it cold.
Despite modest visibility, the comments and DMs I received were thoughtful:
That told me something important: the idea was legible to the people it reached, even if it didn’t travel far.
Multiple people implicitly or explicitly asked whether the value here is "just presentation" or something deeper. That helped clarify my own thinking.
The presentation is the value today, but only because correctness, formatting, and trust are still unsolved problems when it comes to sacred or high-integrity text.
Keeping the product free lowered friction and helped people try it without hesitation.
At the same time, it naturally raised questions about sustainability. That tension is useful, forcing clarity about sequencing rather than premature business models.
I didn't ask for votes, embeds, or coordinated support. The launch stayed quiet.
What surprised me is that the quietness actually made it easier to listen and respond thoughtfully, instead of reacting to noise.
I'm not expanding the scope yet. The next steps are deliberately boring:
I'm not optimizing for growth right now. I'm optimizing for judgment.
If you've built something intentionally small or niche and resisted the urge to immediately "scale it up", I'd love to hear how you decided what to do next.
This is timely! I’m launching my first AI tool (Reseller Bro) on PH at midnight. I love the idea of 'optimizing for judgment.' My goal is to see if our 2-second 'Buy/Pass' signal actually resonates with professional flippers. Any last-minute advice for the first two hours of the launch?
