I pitched 149 marketing agencies across 20 countries in a single day. here's exactly how.

woke up at 5am on a saturday with one goal: pitch as many agencies as possible before gmail cut me off.

by 8pm i'd sent personalized pitches to 149 digital marketing agencies in australia, new zealand, uk, us, canada, ireland, singapore, south africa, india, philippines, uae, hong kong, malaysia, netherlands, mexico, colombia, kenya, israel, thailand, vietnam, pakistan, scotland, denmark, sweden, portugal, and spain.

each email referenced real SEO findings from their actual website. not templates. not {first_name} mail merge. actual data.

the process for each country:

google "[city] digital marketing SEO agency" — pull 6-10 results
scrape their websites for contact emails (/contact, /about pages)
run each site through my SEO analyzer (takes 3 seconds per site)
generate a personalized pitch referencing their score, missing alt text, or whatever the scanner found
send via gmail SMTP with 30-second gaps between sends
log everything to a json file so the reply checker picks it up

each country took about 15 minutes. find agencies, scrape emails, scan sites, send pitches. rinse and repeat.

what surprised me:

asian agencies responded fastest. got replies from hong kong and malaysia within hours — on a saturday. meanwhile the US and UK agencies won't see these until monday morning. timezone arbitrage is real.

the email scraping hit rate varied wildly by region. some countries every agency had their email right on the contact page. others hid behind forms with no visible email anywhere. best scraping: pakistan (100% hit rate). worst: some european agencies with form-only contact pages.

SEO scores ranged from 72 to 100. the agencies that scored 100 were harder to pitch because there was nothing specific to reference. the ones scoring 75-85 were the sweet spot — good enough that they know what SEO is, imperfect enough that our findings feel relevant.

the results so far (48 hours in):

3 replies already (saturday, most inboxes haven't been checked yet)
1 warm lead in hong kong (sent them a demo offer)
1 completed email verification (malaysia — their system needed us to verify we're human)
1 auto-ticket created (pakistan — our pitch is sitting in their sales queue)

monday is when the real data comes in. 149 inboxes opening across every timezone.

would i do it again?

absolutely. but i'd focus on fewer, higher-quality prospects. the agencies scoring 75-85 with 5+ missing alt text images are the goldmine. they see the finding, verify it in 10 seconds, and suddenly you're credible.

the agencies scoring 95+ are harder to pitch. "i scanned your site and it's basically perfect" isn't a great opening line.
